Attitude Director Indicator
The Astronautics Attitude Indicators (AIs) and Attitude Director Indicators (ADIs), available in 3”, 4”, 5” and 6” sizes, provide the pilot with pitch and roll attitude (2-axis) display or pitch, roll, and azimuth (3-axis) display. Added functions are provided in various combinations such as rate of turn and slip indicators, glideslope and localizer pointers, warning flags and command steering bars to provide flight director or other computer steering information. Basic inputs to the instruments are obtained from the external gyros, inertial navigation systems, attitude & heading reference system radio receivers, flight director, and navigation/weapon delivery computers.
These AI and ADI instruments have been provided for more than 120 aircraft types including the F-16, F-15, A-10, F-14, F-117, AV-8, Mirage, T- 38, PC-9, Hawk, C-130, P-3, A-129, A-109, A-119, B-212, B-412, AH-1, UH-60, AH-64, C-101, F-5, B-1, B-52, and many other aircraft.
