Multi Function Displays
Astronautics has developed several families of Multifunction Displays (MFD) based on analog and digital video inputs, with sizes ranging from 4×4 to 15” diagonal displays. These MFDs accept monochrome and color video, stroke inputs, and communicate with external systems via RS-422, discrete, and/or MIL-STD-1553 signals. The mounting and human machine interfaces of these displays are adapted to meet the specific requirements of the operator. The displays accept inputs from external display processors and directly from video sensors, including FLIR, radar, weapons and cameras.
AFD 6800
Electronic Flight Instrument Family
The Astronautics 6×8 Primary Flight Displays and Multifunction Displays have evolved over 20 years by continually offering higher resolution AMLCDs, LED backlights, more advanced processing and graphics generation, patented night vision goggle performance, configurable interfaces including both legacy analog/synchro and modern digital signal types, and modern functionality.
Ibex™
Mission-Ready Displays Family
Astronautics has developed its Ibex™ family of next-generation color multifunction displays (CMFDs) for displaying multiple formats of primary flight, navigation, moving map, engine and mission data via ARINC 818 input and RS-422 control interfaces. Ibex displays are lightweight, rugged, and designed to meet the requirements of military helicopters and aircraft in all environments, qualified to shock, high altitude, and extreme temperatures to meet all mission requirements.
The Ibex family supports multiple display sizes—6×8-inch, 8×10-inch, 18×8-inch, etc.—through its flexible and common core architecture. Displays include a fully-assembled, lighted switch panel, high-resolution active matrix liquid crystal display (LCD) / backlight assembly, and chassis. Ibex uses its flexible platform to customize for specific customer needs.
