Horizontal Situation Indicators
The Astronautics Horizontal Situation Indicators (HSI), available in 3”, 4”, and 5” sizes, provide the pilot with heading, course, single or dual bearing pointers, remote or manual heading and course pointers, DME readouts, glide slope, to/from arrows, and warning flags. Basic inputs to the instruments are obtained from the external gyros, inertial navigation systems, attitude & heading reference system, radio receivers, and navigation/weapon delivery computers. These HSI instruments have been provided for more than 120 aircraft types including the F-16, F-15, A-10, F-14, F-117, AV-8, Mirage, T-38, PC-9, Hawk, C-130, P-3, Dauphin, Super Puma, Puma, A-109, A-119, B-212, B-412, AH-1, UH-60, AH-64, C-101, F-5, B-1, B-52, and many other aircraft.
